Site Details
- Country: United States

Overview
Originally built for the Titan III, SLC-40 sent Mars Observer and the Cassini probe on their way before the Titan family retired. SpaceX leased the pad in 2007 and turned it into its busiest Falcon 9 site. A 2016 explosion during fueling destroyed a rocket and the Amos-6 satellite, and the rebuilt pad later gained a crew access tower.
