Overview
The Cape opened with a captured V-2 called Bumper 8 in 1950 and flew the Mercury missions. Today dozens of pads host Falcon 9, Atlas, Vulcan, and New Glenn flights year round, making the Cape and adjoining Kennedy Space Center the busiest spaceport complex on Earth by launch count.
