Overview
Built for Trident II submarine missile tests, LC-46 was converted into a launch site operated by Space Florida. An Athena II rocket sent Lunar Prospector to the Moon from the pad in 1998, and in 2019 NASA flew the Ascent Abort-2 test of the Orion launch abort system from the site.
