Overview
Built for the Saturn V, Pad 39A launched Apollo 11 and most of the Apollo Moon missions, then the first Space Shuttle flight in 1981 and the last in 2011. SpaceX signed a long term lease in 2014 and has flown Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, and crewed Dragon missions from the pad, where it is also building a Starship tower.
