Overview
A Saturn I and Saturn IB pad remembered for tragedy and recovery. On 27 January 1967 a cabin fire during a ground test killed the Apollo 1 crew of Grissom, White, and Chaffee. Apollo 7, the first crewed Apollo flight, lifted off from the same pad in October 1968. The concrete launch pedestal remains as a memorial.
