Overview
The Argentine Air Force rocket range in La Rioja province, a center of the national sounding rocket program of the 1960s. In December 1969 a monkey named Juan rode a Canopus II rocket from the range on a suborbital flight and was recovered alive, a landmark of Latin American spaceflight.
