Overview
A missile and rocket test range on the Southern Cape coast near Arniston, built in the 1980s partly for a secret South African satellite launcher program. Suborbital test flights of the launcher were made around 1989 and 1990 before the program was canceled in the early 1990s, and the range now hosts weapons trials.
