Overview
Built for the N1 Moon rocket, Site 110 saw all four N1 launch failures between 1969 and 1972, including a July 1969 explosion that wrecked one of its two pads. The complex was rebuilt for the Energia rocket and launched the uncrewed Buran space shuttle on its only orbital flight in November 1988.
